The first contact with homosexuality came from my junior high school friend, she is a lesbian, and I also learned about homosexuality for the first time. Surprisingly, after listening to my friends' love stories, I didn't feel any discomfort. Just like my usual reaction after hearing love stories, I expressed my blessings to them, just like "ordinary people".
The second contact came from my high school classmate who was gay. After knowing that he is gay, I am very happy, because he did not run away from his heart, he did not hide, he bravely spoke out to prove his love. I even communicate with him often, recommending rotten texts to each other, recommending same-sex movies, etc. We are just ordinary friends, no different from "ordinary people".
The world needs tolerance for gay people, they are no different from "ordinary people", and any form of love should be recognized. Why would anyone reject homosexuality? Because in their eyes, gay people are unhealthy, sick, like mental illness, deformed. But what is the difference? You like meat, I like vegetarian, you hate cabbage, I like carrots, everyone has their likes and dislikes, and love is even more different. Why only the opposite sex can fall in love? Why should love be limited? Is there a rule for who loves whom? It's just the self-deception of the majority. Most people in the world are heterosexual, and they accept that and think that only heterosexuality is the normal way. But what if gays were the majority in the world? Does the so-called heterosexual become "heterosexual"? People are always reluctant to accept new things, to face those who are different from them, as if they would not be hurt. Love and freedom are the unique qualities of being a human being. Don't discriminate because you are different from you. All forms of love should be recognized and respected. All gay people also have to work hard to fight for their rights and happiness.
I wish all homosexuals happiness, perseverance on the road of struggle, and be brave and firm on the road of pursuit of happiness. May I be able to attend gay weddings in the years to come, and may they be able to say "I'm gay, and I'm proud of it."
