Today's Astro Boy movie is too different from what I expected, but it's not that it's bad, it's just that it's going in a different direction. I actually don't expect this to be an American cartoon full of innocence and perfect reunion, but a film that can bring a lot of thinking and shock, reminding me of "Artificial Intelligence", the future, robots and humans, children... ..., that's what it feels like. But in general, today's Astro Boy movies can win in audiovisual effects, which is also very good. In terms of plot, due to objective limitations, it is impossible to express too many things, and the feelings in the original works can only be buried.
I remember watching an episode in the comics, where Astro Boy took out energy from his body and gave up his life. I forgot the plot and details, but this episode really touched me, and I should have shed tears. It is a satisfaction to see a similar plot in today's movie.
