When I first saw "The Butterfly Effect 1", it really brought me a lot of surprises. Immediately after watching it, a thought flashed through. Such a movie that transcends the theme and wins with the ending is very unsuitable for shooting a sequel. The reason is very simple. When you have already developed antibodies to its seemingly imaginative and logical causality, then your interest has been greatly reduced before watching the sequel.
This movie is a good example of that, but it's not all good. Because the smart director avoided the focus of the parallel world branch brought by time travel in "Butterfly Effect 1", and instead discussed the relationship between love and career, a common social issue, so this film is still a waste of time. Good choice of time and worth seeing.
