To be a businessman, shouldn't you have no feelings, only business?

In the novel, it is clear that Sherlock is the ruthless businessman.

Sherlock's loss tells us that even when we think we are very sure, or when we think it is an ironclad fact, we should not be aggressive. Maybe we have not considered things carefully, and if we push too hard, we may end up hurting ourselves. On the other hand, as Antonio's side, we never say give up, it's not that there is no solution, it's just that we didn't think of it.

Antonio's mind seemed a little fake. Very prominently repaying grievances with virtue.

Obviously, doing business can't bring feelings into it, and of course, it can't be without feelings at all. Business is business, but people are always not completely rational.

Portia's ingenuity is admirable. Not to mention the successful rescue of Antonio, he did not forget to test his husband before leaving.

At one point, I think Antonio and Bassanio broke their backs, very obviously. Bassanio listens to Antonio's words very much, and their relationship has gone far beyond the scope of friendship and into the realm of love! !

The Merchant of Venice quotes

  • Prince of Morocco: Dislike me not for my complexion, the shadowed livery of the burnished sun, to whom I am a neighbour and a near bred. Yallah! Yallah!

  • Shylock: The fool is kind enough but a huge feeder. Snail-slow in profit, and he sleeps by day more than a tomcat. Therefore, I part with him.
