"The City Where Only I Don't Exist" is arguably one of my favorite comic book stories. I liked it several times and even watched it several times. I still remember the excitement when I watched it for the first time. I have seen the animated version and the movie version so far, and now I am full of expectations for the live-action TV series.
The content of the story has quickly explained the relationship between the characters and the content of the story at the beginning. Fujinuma Satoru (Furukawa Yuki (adult), Uchikawa Riansheng (young)) is a manga artist who has published works before. Because real life is not going well, he works in the pizza restaurant "Oasi Pizza", but he did not give up to continue his life. continued struggle. He has the ability to "replay", when an "event" happens, he is able to go back in time and change what happened in the past.
One day when he was delivering pizza, he suddenly "replayed" back to the past and found that he was injured by preventing a traffic accident. Although it was fortunately only a minor injury, his mother decided to temporarily move in to take care of him out of concern for him. One day, on the way back to the supermarket with his mother, the phenomenon of replay came to Fujinuma Satoru again.
Nothing happened to him this time, but Fujinuma Satoru's mother witnessed the true identity of the kidnapper 18 years ago and believed that it was related to the murder of Kayo Hinizuki, a girl who was a former classmate.
Fujinuma Satoru came home after get off work and saw that his mother was killed. He wanted to track down the murderer, but he was mistaken for the murderer by the police. During the process of Fujinuma Satoru's escape, he "replayed" again.
This "replay" made Fujinuma Satoru travel back to the "event" on February 15th 18 years ago. Fujinuma Satoru decided to prevent the whole incident from happening, and he would rewrite all history for Hinizuki Kayo and his mother. When he thought he had prevented the "event" of March 1, 1988, he discovered that it was not so simple.
What's fascinating about this story is the brain-burning timeline, and its unexpected ending. Just when you thought it was over, only to discover that there is another story in the story. When you think you are no match for fate, it brings other opportunities. Of course, I have to mention that the performance of the child stars brought out the sense of disappointment and powerlessness.
At the same time, the human feelings in the story are also worth mentioning. It seems that the incidents that are often seen on weekdays, how many people will they bring to think about and help? I recommend it to everyone, a set of Japanese dramas that are very suitable for watching in winter - "The City Where I Don't Exist".
