To my darling

This is probably the first movie I've ever felt deeply since I've seen so many movies. I have to say the soundtrack is really good. Makes one want to sink into the icy Hudson River with Lucien and David. Self redemption.

First, the story unfolded from Allen's admission to Columbia University. During orientation, he accidentally encountered Lucien's "performance art". Since then, Allen was introduced by Lucien to Willian, Jack and David, who regarded Allen as his rivals. They started A rebellious cultural movement. In the whirlpool, Allen discovers the elusive relationship between David and Lucien. Lulu killed David out of an argument. He threw him into the icy river.

Lucien's character, Dane DeHaa, is very well done. He's handsome, with a devastating charisma. No one would say no to him. The kind of beauty that is almost crazy, like a poppy flower. Both David and Allen would be willing to immerse themselves in his gentle village. Try to meet any demands made of him.
"We're the ones he needs, but never wants." "It hurts, doesn't it?" the disheartened David said to the equally disheartened Allen

And David was right, a talented man who met another boy with a whimsical idea who fell hopelessly in love with him. This was banned in the first place. Young Lucien knew nothing about it and wrote "the perfect day" on a postcard. Later, when he grew up, he was ashamed to show his love for him, and almost fled in countless places trying to escape from David. David is pitiful and humble in front of love. "you are my everything" when everything hates him, hates him. He would rather die for the love of his life. This is the meaning of "kill your darling". It is the perfect sublimation to cut off the part that you are most satisfied with in the verse. Because that part of you is already addicted to perfection. No flaws are visible. At this point, Allen reluctantly killed Lucien, the love in his heart, and stepped out of the circle from life to death, looking for a new world and new people.

Life is round and we are stuck in a cycle of birth and death. An endless circle until someone breaks it. My heartfelt thanks to my girlfriend for breaking what I call the cycle by showing up, she is truly a light to me and allows me to sleep peacefully during nights of terror. As Allen's monologue at the beginning of the movie
"some things, once you've loved them, become yours forever.
And if you try to let them go. They only circle back and return to you.
They become part of who you are, or they destroy you."

Crab crab my dear baby, goodbye my dear baby.
