Should people who make mistakes be given a chance to correct themselves? When you face a child who makes mistakes, do you really believe that 'people are inherently evil'? When his youth was spent in reform and self-reflection, when he behaved cautiously, even when he acted bravely, could he really still not be able to trust him? Can't you give him a place to live?
It was a heinous crime back then, but he paid the price. More than ten years of time, inner struggle and torture, maybe he was evil at the beginning, but I believe he has changed. 'Every child is an angel', remember he said so in the play. Remember the letter the rescued little girl wrote to him. But so what, the society did not choose to accept him after all. Makes me wonder if it's really 'the prodigal son's return is for nothing'?
The counselor in the play, he chose not wrong. But I am disgusted that he said that this is his most proud work. No one is the work of whom, this sentence does not respect human nature at all. Therefore, regarding his situation and his son's disclosure, although he felt that it was a harm to the boy, he felt that it was not too much. Because as a father, he really failed too.
