The Bitter Moon is my favorite Polanski work. After watching this movie, I realized that there are some people in this world who don't believe in love. The most despairing thing is that these people who do not believe in love are not because of their inability to love and fight against time and space, but because love itself has its own weakness that cannot be corrected, and as for what this weakness is, Polanski also Didn't make it very clear. Desire and boredom are the two pillars of love, and we are either in desire or boredom. And Polanski believes that desire is the beginning of everything, and boredom is the inevitable end of all desires.
