Life and death, shed head puppet. When the line is broken, it falls

Oshii Mori's Ghost in the Shell animation is my personal favorite in the whole series, and it is worthy of the "original smasher", but it is really difficult to find a second movie like this, making a top-notch and obscure philosophical theatrical animation, the movie I lost half of the release, and it is difficult for audiences who have watched Attack in the Shell to fully understand the whole story, let alone passer-by audiences.

Excellent production level in 2004

This article has a lot of discussions about the fusion of human self-awareness and sex robots, the standard for measuring a doll and why children are in a mess outside of human self-awareness. So the first time, of course, there was a daigo empowerment, but after the aftertaste, I couldn't conclude anything.

The art style scene design is simply unique in Japanese animation. When Bart and others went to a special economic zone to collect evidence, they inserted some Hokkien-style parades and native Japanese architectural styles, forming two extremes of interweaving with the surrounding rusted metal towers. Kenji Kawai's self-created singing style on the basis of coloratura is an unforgettable element throughout the film.

The whole movie is a masterpiece in my fantasy, of course, it is not an objective evaluation for me. There won't be a second movie like this.

Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence quotes

  • Togusa: How great is the sum of thy thoughts? If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand.

Bateau: Psalms 139, Old Testament. The way you spout these spontaneous exotic references, I'd say your own external memory's pretty twisted.

  • Togusa: His legions, angel forms, who lay entranced. Thick as autumnal leaves that strow the brooks.

Bateau: Now you're quoting Milton, but we are not Satan.
