Just a little thought, I can't post a short comment, so I put it here
Attack in the Shell 1 and 2 can both be on my list of the best sci-fi movies. Like the first part, the story itself is not complicated, but with the plot as the carrier, it conveys a lot of philosophical thinking and questions. People who don't know much about philosophy may think this film is pretentious and fall out of the book bag, but I think each line is really just right, pointing to the essence. If you make the words too clear, you will lose further possibilities and may make the movie more difficult to understand, so the shell quotes a lot of famous quotes as lines. I think this is an advantage. The major who has completed the evolution will still devote some energy to care about the people and things of the nine lessons. This setting reminds me of the relationship between gods and people in ancient Greek mythology. Although they are not at the same level as people, they still have a certain connection with them. The emotional line of attacking the shell is also quite interesting. Bart fell in love with the major, but the major is a person who pursues the essence, and finally completed the evolution and became a higher-level existence that transcends people. Bart realized that the major was no longer human, but he still couldn't forget his love for the major, so he said, "Are you happy now?" In fact, Bart knew that the major had broken away from the three views of people, and was more like a "god" without mercy. There was no point in asking her if she was happy, but he asked anyway. Shao Zuo replied: "I am everywhere." This mood is absolutely perfect. The same sentence is also said at the end of "Super Body". I guess the director of "Super Body" must like to attack the shell very much.
