A great black comedy, the character setting and performance are exceptionally in place. As a movie at the beginning of the last century, it still seems that there is still a strong sense of theatrical drama, and the character performance is also slightly exaggerated. The rhythm of the film is slow in the early stage, but the contradictions are concentrated in the middle and late stages, the characters appear one after another, and the climax continues. The fly in the ointment is that the protagonist's chattering and aggressive way of speaking always makes people act out.
The film made more than 70 years ago has a very impactful application of light and shadow. The rhythm of the story is tight and weird, funny and tangled. The seemingly cute madness of the two old ladies and the subsequent association between the characters and the male protagonist is so ingenious that the author couldn’t believe the crazy facts of the two old people in the first half of the film. The heavy madness is indeed ingenious and reflective.
