The complexity of human nature - fragility and beauty

I didn't expect to watch such a movie at all, because I downloaded it wrongly when I downloaded it. I thought about deleting it. Then I thought about it, what if it was a good movie? In case I missed something, I watched the beginning in this mood.

But it was this beginning that attracted me, there was no dazzling skills, no suspense, but I saw the end and my eyes were red. Looking at the background, I found that this is the real thing, and it is also a history that is recognized by not reciting history books. The boys in the play seem to be 15 or 16-year-olds, but under the ravages of the war, they have become so-called "soldiers", taking on the mission entrusted by their country - prisoners of war. And most of them are used for mine clearance. Not getting enough to eat, not sleeping well, and being stressed. This is a group of children who should be at school age. When I watched it, I thought, why not let animals step on mines (please don't spray me from the Animal Association), or planes would be fine, or put something important and roll around, there's always a way. What's more valuable than life? However, I am too naive, demining with POWs is the least cost calculation. Moreover, the recovery rate of such mines is also the highest. It is inevitable that there will be wars at the national level. This is the weapon of the future. Because war also burns money, so save it if you can. So life at this moment, here, is not worth it.

But human nature is always there, always yearning for beauty. Therefore, the mutual contact between people creates sparks. The Danish officer was infected, so he finally let go of the child and got rid of the thunder in his heart.

The music in the whole film is flat without ups and downs, and the whole picture has a gray post-war texture. However, it is such an ordinary film that I could not let go for a long time. In any case, war is the greatest manifestation of original sin, and in the end only mortals will bear the consequences.

Land of Mine quotes

  • Sgt. Carl Rasmussen: Those of you who count the mines, make sure my card is updated. This task is as important as defusing mines.

  • Lt. Ebbe Jensen: If they are old enough to go to war, they are old enough to clean up.
