A group of German prisoners of war have been trained to dig out the mines that the Germans had buried on the beach. There had been mine explosions during training, and they knew all too well the horrors of the job. The Danes are taking their lives as flies, and the local residents want to teach them a lesson. No food was given, and soon, the first person was blown away because of vomiting. He kept calling his mother, wanting to go home. Impressed Sergeant Carl who was in charge of them. When Karl went to visit the blown up German soldier, he learned that he was not rescued and died. He took the food from the kitchen and came back for the children. The children also dug more vigorously. Unexpectedly, the accident came. One of the twin brothers dug a double mine but didn't find it, and blew himself up. Then the second twin brother was confused all day, and finally committed suicide in the minefield and went to follow his brother. The sergeant's dog was killed on the cleaned beach, and the sergeant was furious, thinking they had betrayed his trust. They rescued the children of local residents. Most were killed when the mines were finally loaded, leaving only four. I thought I could go home, but was sent to dig mines elsewhere. The sergeant felt he had to keep his promise and let them go.

1. There is reincarnation of good and evil, who the heaven will forgive. German prisoners of war came to eat the evil seeds planted by the German army.

2. The young German prisoners of war in the film are slightly innocent. Maybe you haven't experienced the hail of bullets, and you have become a mine of prisoners digging up the former race. But no way, the soldiers obeyed the orders.

3. Karl and the local residents hated these German prisoners of war at first, and transferred their hatred of the German army to these prisoners of war. But gradually Karl realized that they were just a group of children, eager to go home and to rebuild Germany.

4. Carl's dog was blown up, and in the end most of the prisoners of war were blown up, why? I think some of them are not serious about demining. Then just eat the fruit.

5. Finally Carl kept his promise and let the four go home. On their way home, I kept worrying, would all four of them be killed at the same time? I don't know, I hope there is still humanity.

  • Lt. Ebbe Jensen: If they are old enough to go to war, they are old enough to clean up.
