Sandra does her best to accommodate Rinao, but he still clings to his unrealistic fantasies. This is somewhat in line with the film's attitude towards the pursuit of ideals, and even so, the film suggests that indulging in ideals is not a wise choice. Rinao's farewell to his mother and the scene where he goes back to the house to meet his mother's eyes are the finishing touches of the film - love is the most precious thing in this world.
