I watched "Yangtze River No. 7" some time ago, and I wrote a lot about it. I watched "The Loch Ness Monster" with my wife three days ago, and suddenly found that "Yangtze River No. 7" is actually a very suitable film for children. , because the ugliness of reality is cartoonized in the film, and there are no real bad guys in the film at all. The same is true of "The Loch Ness Monster", children will never hate such a movie, although from the plot, the same theme and plot have been played N+1 times by Disney.
Don't waste your drool here about the plot. Children encounter "abnormal creatures", producing "laughing fruit" and emotions, and finally, because of the protection of creatures, a conflict climax occurs. This is true of "ET", "Whale Breaking the Sky", and even the aforementioned "Yangtze River No. 7". This kind of plot can still be moving if the details are handled properly. The details of the film are handled very well, especially the character animation part in charge of WETA. It is difficult for the audience to distinguish that the "water horse" in the film is produced by CG. For me, what moved me was the strong English country style in the film. When I was a kid watching Sherlock Holmes, I became a fan of the British style, and this movie no doubt added a little bit more to that pursuit: the old manor, the plaid shirt, the elegant gentleman's demeanor... God Oh, please give my wife and I a chance to travel to England or Ireland!

Male Tourist: It's a famous picture of the monster. But it's fake.

Female Tourist: How do you know it's fake? It looks real.

Old Angus: Oh, it's fake alright.

Male Tourist: Of course it's fake. Everyone knows that.

Old Angus: We'd know, son. There's more to that photo than meets the eye.

    Male Tourist: Oh ho, really.

Old Angus: Well, if you'd like to know the real truth.

Female Tourist: Yeah, I wanna know. Come on, it'll be fun.
