The film reviews of "A Better World" have been dragging on for half a month and have not yet written. Maybe I didn't find that better world.
In order to compete for the Oscar, the director forcibly changed the name of revenge to a better world, which is understandable and appropriate. At the beginning of the film, I always thought that Christian was the male lead, but later I realized that Anton was what the whole film wanted to point out. In addition to the misunderstanding of the protagonist, the film uses a few times to push the camera quickly (? I don't understand the technical terminology), which initially brought people a sense of abruptness, but then turned into an emotional interpretation. The sudden closeness seems to let you step into the character and explore a better world in his heart.
What exactly is a better world?
A peaceful world? A well-ordered society? This should be the so-called political correct position. Anton in the film is such a type of person, who firmly believes that kindness can one day change evil, until the gangster is beaten bloody by the onlookers, he can't stop the cruel behavior from continuing. His quest for a better world doesn't seem to be working.
We were struck by the powerful contrast between life in northern Europe and Africa. On the grassland on the other side of the world, when he ran wildly, in the desert there, children were being placed at will. This is a broken world in itself, it is not good at all, where can it be better.
Anton is a good medicine to give them a better world. They cured their incomplete physical condition, and they cured Anton's unsolvable psychological depression. There is no distinction between good people and evil people in the world, and God did not create absolute good and bad. Everything after that is just a description under the subjective definition of human beings. What really determines a person's good and evil is his choice.
Give everyone an equal opportunity to choose between good and evil, and this is a better world.
Father, let the children choose their lives.
Old man, choose your own life and death.
In you who are full of troubles, go find a cure for your troubles.
Individuals, go to your better world.
