female power

The film has two main lines, the story of Dr. James Murray writing the Oxford English Dictionary; and WC Miner, the original Nazi doctor who was locked up in a mental hospital for killing Eliza Merrett's husband.

The main plot of the movie is that the fates of the two male protagonists crossed each other because of writing a dictionary. I would like to share my understanding from the perspective of the professor's wife, Ada Murray.

Since the professor took over the job, Ada Murray has shown unconditional support. On Christmas Eve, when the whole family was supposed to be reunited, the professor was still immersed in his studies in the study. Ada Murray did not quarrel or get angry, but took the children and hit the window of the professor's study with a snowball. I realize that I haven't been with my family for a long time, and I have neglected my family for a long time.

At the end of the movie, the professor was framed by the villain and wanted to run him out of the project he was writing. Just when there was nothing to do, Ada Murray knocked on the door of the writing department's conference room and said: Some people think my husband is stubborn and stupid, he sees it clearly In this world, he could have given up but he did not. In our day, there are two people who just happened to find each other, my husband and his crazy friend. Together, they have given us something great and extraordinary. I am here to ask you that human nature should not be punished.

A woman should be a safe haven at home. I wish to have a single-minded person, and the white heads will not be apart. Every girl dreams of having such a man. But girls, before you find that person, ask yourself if you are good enough, trust your partner, do the greatest thing in the world, trust your partner, have a pure soul. If so, have you supported him without hesitation and helped him? Instead of just asking for it, willfully asking the other party to pay attention to your emotions. Great love should be achieved by each other, rather than blindly expressing one's love regardless of each other's feelings.

At last

if love , then what?

if love ,then love.

The Professor and the Madman quotes

  • Dr. William Chester Minor: It's freedom, Mrs. Merrett. I can fly out of this place on the backs of books. I've gone to the end of the world on the wings of words... . When I read, no one is after me. When I read, I am the one who is chasing--chasing after God.

  • Dr. William Chester Minor: Have you gotten to the "I's" by now? I had some to add to your words. But I can't seem to... I can't seem to find my pens.
