This should be the best movie I've seen so far in May (including Women's Federation 3).
Among all the zombie movies I've seen, there are extremely refreshing ones, like "Zombie World War", those that reflect human nature, like the "28 Days Later" series, and even American low-cost plasma types, disgusting ( There are countless of them). But this one is extremely rare and warm. Before that, it may only be comparable to the old governor's "Maggie". However, the latter is somewhat artificial in the narrative of the film, and the emotional drama of the father and daughter is relatively pale, especially after the emotional comparison with "Forward with Loads".
There are actually not many characters in the movie, there are only seven or eight in total, and all of them are designed to be full. Especially the father played by Martin, his acting skills are really in place! ! In the scene where he was found to be bitten, the hysteria, the madness, but the helplessness, the inner confusion of the father's character at the moment, can be read on Martin's face! A father's love for his daughter can be seen in every struggle in between.
As for the plot, I actually like many details of the movie. For example, in the opening scene, Martin drives a boat and finds a family camping on the shore. Martin smiles at them, but the person on the opposite side immediately takes out his gun. This is very much in line with the reaction of an isolated family to encounter a stranger (friendly or not) in the end times. Of course, this kind of plot has also appeared in other movies or TV series. .
In short, the movie made only one mistake, one big mistake!
That is, the script refers to this short film. The short film is too deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. The short film is really great! So much so that we always know how the movie happens and how it ends. From the beginning of the movie, we waited quietly for the ending, and then offered our tears. I don't care too much about the side plots that happen in the middle. They are just bits and pieces of the apocalypse. We can see these things in movies and TV dramas such as "The Walking Dead". This can make the movie seem particularly verbose. . The rhythm seems very full. But that's the only downside of the movie in my opinion...
Apart from the above point, "Walking Ahead" is really a very small, fresh, and very warm movie. It is highly recommended for literary youth and girls to watch
