Cargo carries weight
I stumbled across this movie by accident.
Many of us are familiar with the protagonist. Watson from Sherlock, the detective, may have some reasons for me to click in.
The background of the story is that we are more familiar with it now. At the end of the world, the zombie virus broke out, and most people became zombies. Andy, a first-time father, turned into a zombie after 48 hours because his wife was scratched by a zombie and infected with the virus. In order to seek help, he took his daughter and wife to escape. In the process of seeking help, due to a car accident, Andy woke up and found that his wife was dead, but before losing consciousness, he still did not forget to leave blood for Andy to protect their children.
But unfortunately, Andy was bitten on the arm by the corpse's wife. Obviously, he was also aware of his fate, but the baby's crying broke his heart like a knife. In order for the child to survive, he must be found within the remaining 48 hours
A safe and healthy environment, otherwise the fate of the child can be imagined. On the way Andy met another child, who told him that there was a safe place for his daughter to survive, and that he was painted with a peculiar paint to hide the breath of the living. So, under the guidance of the child, Andy moved towards the safety point. But time was too late. Andy knew that he couldn't get his daughter to safety when he was awake. So, before the corpse was transformed, he tied the child to his back, put a brace in his mouth, and tied it tightly. With both hands, he used a mass of rotten flesh to support himself forward.
As a zombie movie, what we see more is nothing more than various bites, various stumps and broken arms. But here, even if there are bloody scenes, it is just a flash. The opposite of the ruthless evil of zombies is the love and affection of human beings. The love of a father for his children is exactly what the film wants to express. Family affection is the most universal and sincere emotion of human beings, and it is also the most touching artistic means. The film is not indulgent sensationalism, but quiet lyricism.
Finally, after Andy arrived at the destination, the people at the safe point opened the baby's clothes and found that the father wrote " THANK YOU " on the belly, which made tears inexplicably.
THANK YOU, thank you for taking in my child, or thank you for being able to survive!
This film is actually based on a short film in 2013. The short film is only 7 minutes long. I have to say, this film is amazing. In 7 minutes, there are no lines, no dialogue, no fancy sets, no too much There are many camera changes, and there is not even a complete clue, but it can capture the hearts and tears of the audience in these few minutes. The scene of the father carrying the child in the short film is still tearful. Knowing that he is powerless, he can only rely on his instinct for meat to make it possible for him to send his child to a safe place. He will hesitate and pause on the road, but perhaps the weak consciousness in his heart is telling him to move forward, move forward!
At the end of the story, the father came to a safe point and was knocked down by the guards. The guards stepped forward to check and prepared to leave. However, the child's cry at this time attracted people's attention. This is somewhat similar to the ending of a 2016 "Train to Busan", in which it was the little girl's singing that caught the attention of the soldiers and was rescued. One is crying, the other is singing, maybe, this is a sound of hope. The words " My name is Rosie" are still written on the child's belly. It may be more meaningful to change to THANK YOU in the movie.
Cargo, go forward with a load, and as you work hard, hope will eventually come.
