Blooming youth, bitter life

This movie, judging from the name, will be mistaken for a youthful blood movie. But when you start watching the movie, the movie is more about showing the plight of the youth in the bottom society. Desperate to get out of a bad family situation, Stelle follows salesman Jack on a journey to sell magazines. Perhaps at the moment of embarking on the journey, Stair was full of expectations, but when the sale really started, Stair saw more lies and deceit. The harshness of the proprietress, the indifference, weirdness, and even the numbness to life of the proprietress, Jack, who he likes very much, is also struggling to survive for the sake of life. Everything that happened made Stelle, who didn't have much good influence on her life, make a rash decision, and even sold her body in order to sell the magazine in the process of selling the magazine. All of a sudden, we realized that people at the bottom of the American society are also living so sadly, so sadly. I'm sure Stelle wants to be a true American sweetheart, but life's dilemma is keeping her away. She was supposed to be America's sweetheart, and she couldn't be America's sweetheart anymore.
I really like the movie episode "American honey", this song is very warm and resonant, and it fully expresses the life that the protagonist in the movie is looking forward to.

The director is 55, still such a girl as a foreigner, but she shows the young American youth to the extreme. The combination of road movie + youth rebellious film is still a confused girl's mental journey of finding herself and herself, weakening the story soundtrack and photography, but watching the whole process I don't think it's very long. At the end, American Honey really wants to cry. The biggest feeling of the film is the truth.

American Honey quotes

  • Krystal: Got anybody who's gonna miss you?

    Star: Not really.

    Krystal: OK good. You're hired.

  • Jake: Prove to me your name is Star, and I'll give it to you.

Star: It was my mom's idea. She said we're all made from stars. From Death Stars.
