longing for small town

By chance, a friend introduced me to a movie, "Welcome to the North." It's arguably my favorite French movie to date.

When people were most prejudiced against the northern town, the male protagonist came to work in this remote town in the northernmost part of France out of misunderstanding and sympathy. To outsiders, whether this town is a language (meaning that the local dialect is very difficult to speak, just like our Mandarin and Sichuan dialect), or food, or climate change, or communication with local people, ordinary people cannot difficult to imagine. But the ending of the story was very moving, and even moved to tears. There were a lot of jokes in between. Although the movie is overdone, the warmth, harmony and comfort of that small town make me yearn for it.
