From the perspective of a TV drama itself, The young pope is excellent in terms of actors, pictures and soundtracks. But from the details, it can be inferred that the director is blackening the "Vatican Holy See". The first 9 episodes are summarized as "Saint=Imperfect Personality": an American priest who was abandoned by his parents since he was a child and has a crippled personality because of the power struggle of the cardinals. After taking the Pope's throne, he began to strictly implement a series of perverted new policies: such as anti-abortion, homosexuality to push Catholicism back into the mysterious and feared shrine. The final episode features a few relics, a love letter from the Pope and a reversal in the name of love, however the so-called relics - or apparitions since time immemorial are just whimsical + spiced up!
