I read "The Young Pope" in one breath while on vacation, and I have mixed feelings. Qiu Hua's handsome face was so addicted to her appearance that she couldn't extricate herself.
The first feeling was relief. In the last episode, Lenny said God is in Venice. From my simple understanding of Catholicism, Lenny symbolized the Son of God. From the time he revealed that he did not believe in the Lord, from his various deviant words and deeds, from his even some reckless actions, from his so-called "approaching the Lord through pain and despair", I always had this idea. He is the Son of God, and he will always be a child. It is also the children who will always brood over the abandonment of their parents.
When sending off Sister Mary, he said that he had been looking for God, but what people saw was that he never gave up looking for his parents.
Another guess, the kangaroo, seems to be the mortal body of the lost, extreme Lenny, who was killed when Lenny went his own way and faced a desperate situation.

The second episode reached the third episode, and found that Spencer's attitude was very telling. He was originally very resistant to Lenny's ascension. After Mary persuaded him to help Lenny as a "spiritual father", he bluntly accused Lenny. Nick, a "nine-year-old", said he "has never grown since he was abandoned". After the reprimand, Spencer closed the door again, refusing to work with Laney.
But since when did Spencer's identity change again? After the visit of the two cardinals, after "they must bear the weight of the Lord with their lives". Thereafter he was a faithful believer before Lenny, the first of the cardinals to submit without hesitation.
Had he figured this out when he begged Lenny's forgiveness? I believed that Viello did not break the contract and did not turn to support Lenny, but Lenny became the Pope. He finally understood that the Pope's election was virtually out of the game of power, and that Pope Pius XIII was truly the Pope elected by the Holy Spirit. - Of course, I know from God's perspective that what really works is Lenny's prayer.

I don't know much about Catholicism, I just watched this drama because I like Qiu Hua's Yan, please forgive me if I offend because of ignorance.
