Since there is a place of silence first, the creative aspect of this film will inevitably be regarded as nothing new. It can only be said that the monsters similar to "bat + small pterosaur" brought out by exploring the cave are degenerated and have no vision because they live in the depths of the ground all year round. The logical idea of acute hearing and meat-loving ferocity is clearer and more convincing than that explained in "A Quiet Place". A few close-ups of monsters finally cured my obsessive-compulsive disorder of not knowing what aliens looked like when I watched A Quiet Place.
But the plot is a bit unacceptable. It seems that it may not be safe to stay at home if you escape to the wilderness? ! Even if you escape from the city, do you still feel that you are not fully prepared? Are you ready to live in the countryside without any reserves? If it hadn't been fortunate enough to live in the farm, I see how long this family could live!
Maybe I'm worried that the pure monster movie is a bit monotonous and adds the plot of paranoid religious abduction of girls. Is it to sigh that monsters are scary but religiously distorted people are even scarier? This is similar to "Blindfolded".
In addition, I always feel that these monsters that only rely on voice recognition to prey and kill do not seem to be so difficult to hunt? Didn't the male father throw himself into the net when he turned on the mincing machine? Is it possible to kill all the monsters around by keeping it on? It feels that humans should be able to counterattack after being caught off guard by a wave of attacks that learn the attributes of monsters? The hunting and killing of monsters by boys and girls at the end of the film confirms my idea. In the case of fighting alone, relying on cold weapons? Why doesn't the meat grinder work?
The film gave several shots of the monster larvae incubating the host's body. It can be seen that the monster reproduces very fast and has multiple births! Does that mean that the cubs that hatch later in the sun will evolve eyes? Seriously terrified! Looking forward to the sequel!
Overall satisfied, I would give 7 out of 10.
