love needs honesty

I like the character of George very much in the story, he dares to chase the love he yearns for. The girl he fell in love with was very lucky. However, not every girl can make his heart move.
Lucy is an elegant, gentle and kind girl. Full of longing for love, but afraid of gossip and embarrassment and shame in front of everyone. Therefore, she was overwhelmed by George's passionate pursuit and had to hide it. This also led to her later agreeing to Hisoka's marriage proposal.
Lucy's concealment made George, who loved her deeply, very sad. Especially when George thinks that Hisoka is not suitable for Lucy, after a conversation with Lucy, George decides to leave the town where Lucy lives and live in London after a conversation with Lucy.
This movie is about the hope that the lovers will end up together. There are many coincidental turning points arranged in the story, which make the viewers feel happy and worried about the fate of the two male and female protagonists.
In addition to the plot appealing to me, the Victorian style in the film also makes me happy.

It's really not even a bit of a movie from 1985, except that a few big stars in the movie are old now, which can remind us. . . . I will continue to be attracted by the costumes in the play. Now it seems that there are no fierce conflicts, no artificial hypocrisy, no old routines, and the background of World War II. It turns out that this kind of love can be really pure and soft like beautiful. "call me by your name" really has a similar tone, but the free-spirited, shy and frank mood of each protagonist makes the old aunt show a kind smile

The story itself is not new, and the artistic execution is quite interesting. It can be called the light comedy sister film of "The Age of Innocence".

    Lucy Honeychurch: Like what?

Freddy Honeychurch: [imitating Charlotte] Like Charlotte Bartlett.

Lucy Honeychurch: Because, she *is* Charlotte Bartlett.
