Coordinated in Kuala Lumpur, it was released 9 days in advance in China, and I finished watching it during Christmas.
The experience is alright. Although there is still a certain gap with the amazing feeling brought by "Spider-Man Parallel Universe" last year, as an entertainment comedy animation film, it is already very good.
From the overall style point of view, it belongs to the same joyous and funny style as "Ice Age" and "Rio Adventure". The comedy effect is very good, and it can bring people a good mood. It has always been the characteristics of Blue Sky Studio movies.
From the perspective of painting style, it is still the blue sky studio with bright colors and slightly exaggerated character design, which looks very cute and comfortable. It is relatively smooth, especially in the more chaotic fighting scenes.
First, let's talk about the content of the movie (spoilers beware)
There is nothing outstanding in the content. Basically, it can be regarded as a movie that relies on jokes to support the scene.
Probably the story is: the villain copied the face of the male protagonist super agent Lance, and did everything wrong in his identity to make Lance wronged. In order to hide his whereabouts, Lance turned into a pigeon with the help of little inventor Walter's technology, and embarked on an adventure to clear his grievances.
emmmm... Actually, this method is really old.
A temporary combination of "one strong and one weak" consisting of an invincible and arrogant super agent and a kind and naive genius inventor (with some non-human biological pigeons attached), running around the world, facing internal and external double pressure, just beginning There are many contradictions in the cooperation, and they despise each other until they become inseparable partners... Not to mention how much overlap is in the routine of "Men in Black: Global Tracking", 10 minutes after the movie opens, the peers have already And I guessed the sequel. (The lady is ready to start writing a small essay...)
· There are not enough routines, new ideas & jokes come together:
1. Be innovative and turn super agents into pigeons.
This brain hole is indeed possible, and many of the more innovative jokes are based on the contradiction of "human thinking pigeon body". With eyes separated from the sides, attracting other pigeons, Lance becomes a female pigeon and lays an egg. (The human male chromosome is xy, which is just the opposite in pigeons). It is the new point of pigeons that makes the jokes not old-fashioned and bright. But not enough to be the highlight of the movie.
2. The "smile" is brilliant, and the high-density laughter comes from the two "mouth-shattering saliva-making machines".
Shi Huang's slick tongue and Holland brother's invincible chatterbox, when the two meet together, you will know what a fight is between the gods in the "mouth gun world". Supported 70% of the laughs in the show.
So I really have to rate the content, 10 points I give 5.5 points.
· Why is the content slightly thin?
Personally, I thought it was a movie positioning issue.
The market subject is positioned as children, an animated film with a very heavy tendency to be childish. Although it was a special agent theme, there was no blood in the whole process, and it did not create an atmosphere of depression and tension. Therefore, the plot is relatively rigid and simple, and it is too complicated for fear of not understanding it.
Not only that, but the core theme of the film is also very childish.
The first theme: protect the hope, creativity and dreams of the child.
Walter has been very smart since he was a child. He likes to invent some magical but tasteless props (very similar to toy agent props, which is also very childish), hoping to use these props to maintain world peace. But he is always criticized by others and called a freak.
Finally and Lance use his props to successfully solve the crisis, allowing him to successfully realize his dream. This kind of plot design is to encourage children not to give up their pure and beautiful dreams and creative imagination.
The second theme: fraternity and peace.
Walter hoped that the agent's fighting style would be less bloody, and hoped to use "rescue" to deal with the enemy. Therefore, the props and weapons he invented are very tasteless and naive in the eyes of others (although the final plot needs to be forcibly arranged to play a big role).
In the end, Walter would rather sacrifice himself to save the enemy, which also reflects the characteristics of his fraternity. Designing the species that Lance transformed into as pigeons instead of other cats and dogs, I guess there are also thematic considerations. All of the above reflect the film's value orientation of fraternity and peace.
Two topics full of positive energy can indeed have a more positive impact on children, and these two points are very important for a person's mental growth. Here we must affirm its educational significance. The theme can also see its childish tendencies.
In general, such a movie may be wonderful for children, but for older friends, the experience is slightly worse.
Finally, let's talk about two characters: agent Lance (Will Smith) and inventor Walter (Tom Holland).
Before I watched it, the dubbing of Will Smith and the younger brother Holland was probably the biggest selling point. No, it was just a real person acting. The animation design was deliberately made according to the real appearance of the two people. This is actually a bit suspicious of the popularity of Black Clothes and Spider-Man, but at least the audience is happy about it.
There should be many people like me who thought it was the spark collision between Agent J and Peter Parker before watching it. (It is estimated that the live-action version of this movie is more exciting)
