Great explorers, great women, great civilizations, great human beings, great dreams.

The hunt in the opening film reveals an authentic British atmosphere; the male protagonist embarks on an adventure for family honor; the love and farewell of his wife; the sinister journey and the joy of discovering civilization; after the triumph, the royal academy and the public distrust him again; On the journey; friendly contact with Indian civilization; being framed by his companions, the gloom of human nature; forced to return to the conflict with his son; war; embarking on the journey with his son; caught by the natives, "soul rest"; wife's waiting and Strong...

Some people say that the cast is weak, but I think the protagonists are very, very powerful. From body movements to every look, it is extremely professional. By the way, I finally recognized that the lovely and loyal Henry was played by our vampire Pattinson~
In short, an authentic London accent with a thick performance.

I didn't understand the meaning of exploration and archaeology before. I read Robinson when I was a child when I completed my notebook task, and memorized Columbus's nautical charts for exams. However, after watching the film today, I was very moved and had some understanding.

In modern society, we can use Google to determine locations on the entire planet. When going out with GPS, there are no unknown roads and areas (I mean most of them). However, in the film, the most advanced civilization in the world in the eighteenth century, there are still some areas of their world map that are unknown, and some foreign civilizations are mysterious. Therefore, explorers with high knowledge and courage went on the expedition. They sacrificed their youth and family happiness, and risked their lives to discover the existence of other civilizations. They were excited about this, but they had to bear the pressure of not being trusted and recognized by everyone.

There are tears and smiles of the heroine, strength and tenderness, independence and self-cultivation. Finally, the scene of her going out into the rainforest is so moving. Although the film does not have tear-gas elements, it leaves people with a long-lasting touch and ideal power.

In the end, this is a movie worth at least 8 stars. Those acts of boycotting the film and giving one star because of being cut, have no meaning!

The need to be deleted was put forward by the bureau, but the team that cuts is still lost in Z City! Although I think the first time I entered Amazon is a bit short, the plot of the whole movie is still complete, and the movie is excellent and thick!

Again, the film is very good and thick!

The Lost City of Z quotes

  • Jack Fawcett: I understand that it's dangerous, but you've said so yourself, with everything that's happened in Europe, it's not possible to choose a safe passage through life. So many men near my own age did not return from the war, and... And who is to say it will not happen again? It could, mother. It could happen again.

Nina Fawcett: By all accounts, I should be furious because you've just... You've just used my very own words against me. And how can I refute them? They are my own.

Nina Fawcett: [handing him the timepiece] The Brazilian gave me this to give to you. He said Percy told him you would understand. I have trained myself to be impartial to evidence, but surely... surely this is a sign.

Sir John Scott Keltie: Yes. I will have it examined.

Nina Fawcett: Thank you. That is all I can ask.
