burst into tears

Although everyone has a different viewing experience due to their own experience limitations, I want to know the reasons for people who don't like this movie. Some people think that Kaguya is portrayed as the "Little San" and "Little Swallow", so they don't like it, because it is too far from the characters in the original story so they don't like it? I really like this story. My understanding is that it doesn't matter whether the final meeting with Shemaru at the end is true or not, and even if Shemaru is married and has children, it doesn't matter. The purpose of Kaguya's coming to the world was not to become Shemaru's wife. Without this Shemaru, she would also want to be with other "Shemaru", with those who truly love her, and live a life of ordinary people. In life, you can run if you want to run, laugh if you want to laugh, and enjoy the days when you can really live with flowers, plants, birds, beasts, insects, and fish. "Shemaru" is just a symbol of the free life that Kaguya aspires to. The whole film, from the style of painting, the soundtrack, to the narrative of the story, is well integrated. It talks about the relationship between people and family and the helplessness of being a woman. It talks about the pursuit of freedom and not being able to. People are deeply touched, and they can't help but think of the Red Buddha Night Run and The Peony Pavilion.

From the moment the arrow that was shot turned into a flower, the tears suddenly couldn't be stopped. Damn, I don't know why. When the little maid came out with the children singing, it was even more frustrating. In fact, there are basically no ups and downs in the plot, and the style of the picture is back to the basics. In the middle, I was only moved by the performances of the characters several times. I just feel that it seems to be the curtain call of the older generation of animators. The movie is over, and an era is over.

Three and a half. Both sensational and poetic are great, but in the end, they violated the aesthetic principles of oriental narratives. Not only did they not leave blanks, but they had to tell the story completely, so complete that the gods descended, and the earth was round. It's really a piece of mouse droppings that ruined a whole pot of porridge.

The Tale of The Princess Kaguya quotes

  • The Princess Kaguya: [singing] Go round, come round, come round... come round, oh distant time. Come round, call back my heart. Come round, call back my heart. Birds, bugs, beasts, grass, trees, flowers. Teach me how to feel. If i hear that you pine for me, i will return to you.
