In a wheelchair, looking at the carriage

It is said that "Beauty in the Day" is a film criticizing the middle class. I thought that a woman's lust had nothing to do with it, but upon closer inspection, it seemed to be related.
The doctor was quite a gentleman. Since Frina didn't want to sleep with her, he set up two beds in the room, one for each. But so what? Why didn't he want to spend a good night with the beautiful woman, but he couldn't let go of his identity - "I am a gentleman with status, and I must respect women." When Friina asked the doctor if she had been to a brothel, he clearly had a "I love it there" face when he described it. No matter when and where, he must be bound by himself, telling himself what he should do and what he can't do, with a sane look. If it weren't for this, the doctor wouldn't tell Frina over and over what he wanted. I was unhappy when I was rejected, so I just turned around and continued to fall asleep by myself.
What about Flina? A middle-class wife. She longs to enter the upper class but reveals the desire of a lower class than herself. From two to five o'clock, isn't it nap time? Three hours is enough for her fantasy to satisfy her animal instincts. She becomes a prostitute, does what she wants, and enjoys the most direct and unconcerned "love". Don't care about words and demeanor. A woman refuses to be expressed more strongly. Every refusal of Friena from the beginning to the end was useless, because she wanted it all. Of course, except for the man with a mouth full of bad teeth, she did not refuse. Because it was so strong from the beginning, it directly shook her heart and body. Friina here is smooth sailing, invincible, and everything is according to her wishes. Even if there are some small episodes, it is probably a shallow pit she set up for herself. Qi Ji jumped and stepped over directly. She was more like a wild horse, and the more she ran, the more pleasure she felt.
Humans are animals, and humans naturally have the instincts that animals should have. It's just that people are smart and understand that the power of the strong is not only about the use of force, but also has to be graded to show the pros and cons, so that time is not wasted on competition. The strong set a threshold and directly stuck the weak on it. It just so happened that Fulina was in such a high position, she needed different behaviors to distinguish herself from outsiders, but she was not qualified to enter the door. She has to "pretend". She decorates herself with fashionable clothes, but there are only a few pieces, and she is not rich. She has beauty, that is her greatest asset. But beauty didn't bring enough what she expected. So she was not reconciled, but there was nothing she could do. I had to be empty and bored at home every day. I think doctors should be so empty and boring. Just as a class will have many small groups of similarities, society also allows people of the same status to draw their own boundaries. People in different circles do different things to differentiate. The doctor and Friena have the ability to do simple but happy things, but it "should not" them. What if you want this kind of fun? Only came in stealthily. Legally not illegal, but class is extremely illegal. But this kind of secret pleasure is more of a pleasure, allowing them to get rid of their daily life in a cover.
The confectioner, the professor, even the duke, the killer, and even her husband's friend, became Friena's lustful objects, interspersed with her husband's humiliation. The more debauched, the more pleasure. The more perverted, the more sense of achievement. A fat man, a man who sees her as a toy, a man who wants to control him completely, a man who doesn't care about him, in various ways, exposes the subjugated nature of a woman. Simple and direct is more alluring than pretentiousness in front of a horny woman. She fell asleep at two o'clock, then woke up as a lion just woken up, opened her mouth wide and swallowed all her desires. After three hours of gluttony, he fell asleep again. The clock will strike five at this time, and she is about to wake up in reality to meet her hypocritical and lewd husband, and her equally hypocritical and vain self.
It is said that people cannot suppress their own desires, they can only control their own behavior. And this process of repression will amplify these desires. Humans are animals that are good at disguising, and can transform dirty things into habitual movements, into different parts, and piece together themselves. Women who love money hook up with men who are unwilling to take responsibility, creating brothels. States were created by collusion between politicians eager to control others and profit-seeking businessmen. It has been like this since time immemorial. Dominating things that you cannot control, even people, is the pursuit of most people in the world. So society needs classes because it all comes from struggle. Not only between men and women, but between people. It seems that Friina has always been forced, but is this really the case? Obviously not, she dominates all men, even if it is a dream. Anyway, life is like a dream. Between being awake and confused, as long as one can achieve satisfaction, is there any difference?
Coming back to the movie, there is one little detail that intrigues me. In the opening scene, the doctor and Friena rode in the carriage, the bells swayed and jingled. The trees on both sides are shady, and the carriages fall into leaves, giving people a dreamlike feeling. And finally, the doctor got up from the wheelchair, which he had previously been amused by, and talked to Friena. And Frina heard the sound of the bell, was attracted, and looked out the window. The same carriage is coming from the opposite direction, just as dreamy, and the film comes to an abrupt end. Seeing this moment makes me feel awake from a dream. The previously clear story line suddenly began to blur again. What exactly is a dream? What is reality? Suddenly he was full of doubts about his previous judgment. In hindsight, I think this suspicion was really unnecessary. What is the difference between dream and reality? If a dream might satisfy all my desires, it would be better to stay awake in the dream. I have to say, Louis Bruel is really a good filmmaker. He kept me awake for more than 90 minutes, but in the last three minutes it made me feel like a lifetime, falling directly into a half-dream and half-awake.
That bell sound had an inexplicable magic power that hypnotized everyone. It hypnotized the doctor, who thought he would change his boring life by having some fun sitting on it. And finally? Under the impact of being in the same bed with the beauty, she quickly collapsed. It also hypnotized Frina, making her feel that she could escape her emptiness by riding in a carriage. In fact, whether it is a wheelchair or a carriage or other behaviors, or even a dream, they are just tools. It's just that sometimes, even most of the time, the tools hold us back.
