It's like reading a satirical novel. In the United States in the 1950s, white people under racial discrimination had an incomparable sense of superiority, but the white family represented by Gardner was really undercurrent, especially when insurance investigators were nakedly demanding. When I hacked all the insurance money, I felt that this society was really full of black humor. I just watched "Miracle Boy" before. Jack is played by Nicky, the boy in this film. His eyes are so clear. At the end, he walked out of the house and played baseball with black boys as always. The intention of the director is obvious.
