I always thought The Grudge was a classic horror movie, but I didn't have a chance to watch it, so I was a little disappointed this time.
The sound effects add a lot of points, but the horror atmosphere drops sharply when the sound is turned off. In many places, the "sudden appearance method" is used to scare people. To be honest, I was frightened at that moment, and then I didn't feel it. And when I watch horror movies, I have always believed in the principle that nothingness is true horror. Once ghosts appear, they drop several grades.
Another point I want to complain about is that the natural reactions of the actors in the film are too embarrassing and strange. Normal people's first reaction when they see a person motionless should be to explore, but everyone in the film's reaction is I want to wake you up, I want to wake you up? ? ? Another point is that the first reaction to hell is always screaming, and it does not bring back! Just staring at the female ghost and screaming, you are very courageous, man?
But I have to admit, Gaya's dress up is quite successful, I'm a little afraid to look at her [her eyes are really terrifying, and that AAAAAAAAAAAA- cry, my teeth are sour at the same time very oozing...
Maybe I still don't know much about Japanese horror movies, they always create a feeling of despair, causality doesn't apply, it's a bit too depressing. In comparison, I still prefer American horror movies, like The Conjuring series, and ghost mirrors.
The above is purely personal opinion, if you don't like it, don't spray it.
