Pleasant viewing experience

I haven't been able to immerse myself in watching a movie recently. Tonight in Urumqi, it was raining and it was a little cold. I opened and downloaded the long-lost movie "The Call of the Wild", and I was a little surprised.

I haven't been very daring to watch similar dog movies, I'm afraid to wipe my tears. Fortunately, "The Call of the Wild" got rid of some clichés, played with CG and cute, and told the human nature of a dog vividly. There are many surprises in the first half, especially the black actors are very good. After Harrison Ford appeared in the second half, the movie entered the established track, but it is really not many similar movies that slowly walk a pet into the original wild wasteland, and there are some minor accidents.

Not a top-notch good movie, but a fun, warm movie. In fact, many times when watching a movie, it does not mean that you have to see a top blockbuster, but it is also very important to have a pleasant viewing experience.

But when you think about it compared to other dog-themed films, some of the processing in this film is still good, after all, the original story of Jack London is there. A story about the weak and the strong, it was made into a tender little comedy...

The Call of the Wild quotes

  • [last lines]

John Thornton: [narrates] Some say that's the legend. Not so. You see, I knew him once, when he was just a dog at a men side. And even all this land is his, every summer, when he comes down to the valley, he remembers kind hands and old masters... before he went to his own... became his own master... before he heard the call.

  • [first lines]

John Thornton: [narrating] It was in all the papers at the time. Men searching in the Artic had found a yellow metal. Gold. A mad fever spread as far as word can travel, and thousands more rushed to the North to try their luck. These men needed dogs. Big dogs with strong muscles to pull their sleds.
