If you've read Jack London's original novel, this movie is not highly recommended.
I always feel like something is missing, I really want to see the real stories of animals, and choose documentaries in the future. Because looking at some of the actions of those animals on the screen, I always feel that there is a lack of realism. I think, if I add dubbing or inner monologue to them, it will become a full-fledged cartoon.
When I was reading, I especially liked Jack London's novels. The one that impressed me the most was the story of the gold digger and the old wolf. I don't seem to have read The Call of the Wild about Buck's original, but I know the Jack-London style.
There is no doubt that this movie is like a pot of too finely ground white flour, but it lacks the wildness that is the most charming.
Buck is undoubtedly a good dog, but the picture with the white wolf always makes me unwittingly play. Reproductive isolation across species appears to be an unavoidable problem. The problem is that if you make a husky, it may become a complete comedy.
But I still like the theme of this movie very much, a dog can find himself.
How can a person lose himself?
