The harsh description of the living environment in the film is very detailed. After being hurt again and again, Buck's heart gradually drifted away from human society. Using CG special effects to pile up human expressions on the dog's face, it really sucks.

The whole story is anthropomorphic processing + super CG, it feels that there are more elements of show technology than storytelling; from a technical point of view, this work can blow the "real lion version" of "The Lion King" next door. From a commercial point of view, Disney adapted the film into a family movie suitable for all ages. Judging from the viewing experience, it really lacks the "wildness" of "Call of the Wild", which lacks much of the cruelty and thoughtfulness of the original. And philosophical, but overall it is still a good adventure entertainment film.

The Call of the Wild quotes

John Thornton: [narrates] Some say that's the legend. Not so. You see, I knew him once, when he was just a dog at a men side. And even all this land is his, every summer, when he comes down to the valley, he remembers kind hands and old masters... before he went to his own... became his own master... before he heard the call.

John Thornton: [narrating] It was in all the papers at the time. Men searching in the Artic had found a yellow metal. Gold. A mad fever spread as far as word can travel, and thousands more rushed to the North to try their luck. These men needed dogs. Big dogs with strong muscles to pull their sleds.
