life journey

The protagonist of the story is a trio of 2 men and a woman. The female protagonist is lively and kind, the male protagonist is straightforward and reckless, plus the cold and silent supporting actor. (Just in line with the three personalities of Horney's psychosis, tendency, resistance and avoidance). From the small story, with the accumulation of clues, the behind-the-scenes conspiracy surfaced. The Chaos Warriors borrowed the bloody shell, and the inside chronicled the journey of three almost alone people in search of themselves.

Feng, Wuhuan and Ren, three orphans. Feng's father left home at an early age, and after his mother died of illness, he stayed in a relative's shop to work, but the shop was destroyed by an accident. Wuhuan was born without parents and grew up on the Ryukyu Island, where all prisoners were exiled. He was executed for robbery. It seemed that his only talent was to kill, so his goal in life was to challenge powerful enemies. Both parents died and were boarding in the Kendo gym. They were gifted with extraordinary talents. The people around them feared or hated them, but they didn't know who to win for. They were hunted down by the gym because they killed their master. Before encountering Feng, Wu Huan firmly believed that the goal in life was to win, and Jin, who has been winning all the time, lost the meaning of life and was looking for the soul of a samurai.

When the three met, Feng proposed to look for the samurai with the scent of sunflowers. This person, whose name and origin were unknown, was almost the only connection between the three of them and the world. And this goal seems out of reach, more like a romantic girl's dream, full of sunflowers symbolizing hope. In the end, Feng found the samurai, her father, the tall and burly figure in his mind, but in reality he was too thin and sickly, only to realize that the dream he was chasing was not always what he imagined. But in this journey, the people and things experienced, the life growth gained, and the deepening bond between the three are the most precious gains. Likewise, Wuhuan no longer regards challenges as his only goal, while Ren finds the meaning of drawing his sword, and he has someone to protect.

Encounter is fate, and the unexpected experience in life is more valuable than the goal itself. When you don't have a clear vision of the goal in the distance, you can go on without stopping. And partners, whether they are with you or not, are the meaning of life. This is the biggest emotion throughout the entire film.

Yagyu badass: [scoffs] Of course it is.

Jin: Even if that lord is an unimportant piece of shit?

Yagyu badass: [the Yagyu draw their swords to attack] What the? Watch your mouth! Don't try to interfere!

Jin: Cutting down a man who's done nothing wrong; is that what you spent all that time honing those skills for?

Jin: In my opinion, you're worthless.

Yagyu badass: [rushes at him] Screw You!

[Jinn kills all three Yagyu guards with his sword]

  • Shige: "There were men on top of horses and horses on top of men, piled one atop the other. The valley was laid open before the men. Its depth was great and wide. But the number of soldiers that died that day would line its two rock walls from side to side. Corpses stacked up to build a mountain of death and it gushed rivers of dead men's blood."
