This is an art film.

It was another movie I saw just before it was about to be released. I went all the way to mk2 in District 5 without any hesitation. It was so exciting that after watching it, I couldn’t get enough of it, so I turned around and bought a ticket. Read it again. Even after watching the dialogue twice, there are still a lot of things that I don't understand, but it doesn't hinder my understanding of him. The music is shocking (the word can be used completely), the exquisite pictures, the "sci-fi" plot, and there is no cold scene for two hours. who I am? This eternal question of mankind is raised again. I have to say that this film is much more sincere than those gay films, affective emotional films, and inexplicable experimental films.
Oscar in the film is undoubtedly the most pitiful person. He plays so many roles every day that he does not know who he is. A life without self is destined to be a game, but in reality, are there still few such people? It's just that we didn't act so straightforwardly.
In the film, Oscar finally said to the orangutan "je vais changer la vie." Perhaps it was for himself, but also for us all living beings to have a change. It's just a thought. Change? easier said than done.

I don't think it's a simple tribute to the life of a movie actor. His nudity and erection, his absurd make-up and bizarre behavior are all indispensable instruments and links of a religious ceremony. Therefore, rather than being an actor, Mr. Denis is more like a missionary. From this point of view, the metaphors inherent in all the farce, such as iweiwei, come to the fore. Therefore, the title of the film is called sacred, and this is the ending. Although the symbol is obscure, Karak His intentions are still obvious.

This is the most enjoyable film I have watched in many years, and I am dumbfounded. Karax’s ability to express his inspiration and stream of consciousness on the screen is truly unmatched! As for the film itself, as he himself said, "Don't ask me why, I'm not good at answering questions, just like I couldn't explain why I used a certain posture during sex last night." . . Uh, my understanding is "Life is a drama"

Holy Motors quotes

  • Mr. Oscar: [exhorting his accordion band] Trois! Douze! Merde!

    [English: Three! Twelve! Shit!]

  • Mr. Oscar: I miss the cameras. They used to be heavier than us. Then they became smaller than our heads. Now you can't see them at all.
