At the beginning of the film, a man wakes up from his sleep, pushes open a door on a wall covered with trees, and arrives at the cinema where the film is being shown. Almost all the audience in the cinema is asleep. While the audience was still confused, our protagonist Oscar appeared.
Early in the morning, a new day begins, Oscar gets into the car, learns about the next role in the role, then puts on the character's clothes, puts on the character's makeup, takes the character's props, gets ready, arrives at the destination, opens the door, and gets out of the car , start the performance, get in the car after the performance, then learn about the next role, and then start preparing for the new role...and so on and so forth. Oscar didn't finish his last acting assignment of the day until late at night.
This movie is already absurd, but the ending is the most absurd. I won't spoil the spoiler here, I believe you will open your mouth wide when you see the ending.
The car door is an isolation belt. Inside the car door, Oscar is himself, and outside the car door, Oscar is "others". Throughout the day, he has been performing, but the camera is always absent. Where is our "quarantine"? who are we? Who are we playing? Who is our audience?
Several songs in the film left a deep impression on me, one called "How are we going home?" and another called "Wo we are?" "On the
surface, the film tells about an actor's day, but in essence it tells about a person's life. This movie is absurd with sadness, isn't life like this?
PS: The film was named the best film of the year by the French "Cinebook". In my opinion, whether this movie is the best of the year is not necessarily, but this movie is definitely the most different movie of the year. I believe you will agree with this after watching the movie.
