The contrast between the two sons in the film seems to be more exciting than the contradictions between the father and son. The youngest son is about 12 years old and knows nothing about his father. He is regarded as an enemy and has fought more than once; the eldest son is about 15 years old. While trying to maintain a perfect son image in front of his father, he has not forgotten to "educate his younger brother" and always please this rare father. But after the father's accident, the brothers encountered a common dilemma, and the predicament filled the sibling relationship between the two. On another level, it is not an exaggeration to explain the meaning of the film's name.
It is said that the film reflects the return of the people after the disintegration of Russia, including a license plate in the film that implies the date of a political event. But for me, a movie is just about telling a story. If the story is told well, the movie is a success. I can’t be bothered with so many similes and metaphors. At the end of the movie, the 12 years since his father disappeared and what was in the box dug out on the desert island were not explained.
Sadly, the day before the premiere of the film, the actor who played his brother drowned because he was swimming in the filming location, which may have been destined to be a sad film.
