A classic basketball inspirational film, adapted from a true story. In the United States in the 1960s, when racial discrimination was prevalent, coach Don resisted the pressure to recruit 7 black players and began a difficult basketball struggle - the road of glory.
Today's NBA is almost dominated by blacks. It was the foundation laid by blacks who entered the basketball arena in the 1960s. Fast speed, good explosiveness, high jumping, and willingness to endure hardships... These are the advantages of black players. But in the 1960s, black people were just a symbol of the bench. When Coach Don recruited Hill, Hill said, "Do you understand what that's like, to have that ball in your hand? It's like making sweet music with your game." The lion is about to be awakened! In the world of these black players, basketball is their only hobby, basketball is their life, and basketball is their everything.
After their first game win, the white players simply ignored them and didn't shake their hands to say goodbye, leaving them deeply humiliated. Captain Hill even said that he didn't think they would do anything, and he didn't know what to do to win the respect of his opponents. The coach's sincere guidance made him learn to endure the humiliation, the ups and downs along the way, and the hardships along the way. Teammates were beaten in the toilet, they were splashed with drinks by white people when they entered the stadium, they were sprayed to kill niggas in the hotel they stayed in, and even more, they kept receiving death threat letters. They risked their lives to play and coach. All resistance, Let them feel breathless, and finally collapse in a game... A coach is always the soul of a team, but also a spiritual mentor. A coach can't collapse in advance. The legendary coach has to be comforted under the conditions of great pressure. Players after "Your dignity's inside you.Nobody can take something away from you...you don't give them.Hold your heads up.You wanna shake off that hate? It's your choice...Shut them up.Win." The games went smoothly, and they reached the finals all the time, which impressed the white people. They used their actions to slowly change the views of the people around them, so that they had to admit that the black people had strength.
The night before the finals, everyone was very excited. It was a turning point in their lives. The relatives around them began to support their initial choice. It is very important for everyone to get their closest people. The support and affirmation of our family members makes our loved ones proud, and it is the most primitive driving force for all of us. Coach Don made a decision that surprised everyone. Only 7 black players were allowed to play in the finals. This absolutely subverted the rules of the white-dominated stadium, and ripped open a gap in the shady curtain of racial discrimination, allowing sunshine Shine into the basketball court. With the trust of teammates and the support of relatives and friends, the seven lions successfully won the University of Kentucky and won the first NCAA championship. Although the game was not as gorgeous and intense as the NBA, the tight rhythm, the reluctance to score and the exciting performances of the little blacks were the highlights of the game. Towards the end of the game, Hill made a beautiful pass from behind and threw himself directly at the mighty Kentucky coach. The camera gave them a close-up of their eyes. This is a characteristic of an era, and a sign of the end of it, the unease in the eyes of a mighty white man and the sharpness in the eyes of a tough black man.
Their efforts are seen by everyone, they are defending their rights with their actions, and they have opened up a long road against racial discrimination. The road is a long way to go, I will go up and down and seek...
