"Eye in the Sky" is a war drama co-produced by Moonlighting Films South Africa, Raindog Films and eOne Productions. Directed by Gavin Hood, co-starring Aaron Paul, Alan Rickman, Helen Mirren and Ian Gray. The film was released in the U.S. on March 11, 2016, and in mainland China on January 13, 2017. The film tells the story of a military intelligence officer commanding a drone bombing mission to capture a terrorist.
Helen Mirren is the protagonist in the film. She plays an iron-blooded lady. The means to fight terrorists is very severe and decisively irresistible. "Professor Snape" played the role of a high-ranking military officer, still speaking the familiar British English. Whether it is when buying gifts for children or when making a difficult decision in a meeting, Alan Rickman's performance is very good. Especially at the end of the film, he said, "Never emphasize the cruelty of war with a soldier", which is more for the tone of the film. Ian Gray, who played the role of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, is a face that Chinese audiences are very familiar with. He has played roles in both "Game of Thrones" and "Downton Abbey". It is one of the few links in the film that makes people feel more relaxed.
Compared with these old drama bones, "little fan" Aaron Paul is eye-catching. This time he played the role of the captain of a drone, responsible for controlling the drone to launch missiles. When faced with innocent civilians, this kind of decision is particularly difficult. For this reason, the director also gave the "little fan" a lot of facial close-ups and the scenes with tears in his eyes. The girl audience feels distressed. In addition to a few British actors, some African actors in the film also performed very well, especially the little girl's innocent, playful appearance, which also makes the final shot of the film look particularly moving.
The wonderful anti-terrorist group drama tells the judgment and choice of everyone in a beheading operation from the perspective of the eye of the sky, and captures the unbearable lightness under the moral dilemma. There is no right or wrong, the truth is always the biggest victim.
