I watched a great anime depicting people's spiritual journeys for a I've known this for a long time, but I didn't fully grasp it until recently.I watched it back and forth several times today and found that EVA is really a great anime, or it surpasses anime. Many things in it are explained from the standpoint of human society as a whole. Although the protagonists are only three 14-year-old teenagers, there are actually many elements of violence, power, religion, and so on. But these are not the points; the points are the relationships between people.
In "Born for You," the author answers many questions for us: what is EVA? What is real? What is a dream? Why do we exist in this world? Why are we here? The film gives us the answer in the quick and seemingly illogical transformation at the end of the film. EVA is the representative of the greatest power of human beings, and it is deeply driven by the electric power of modern civilization. Just as modern people rely on powerful technology to obtain vast amounts of energy. But it is essentially a human being. When the emotions are greatly impacted, it can break through the limitations of its ability and use the real energy in its own heart.
The end of the film is a process of existence-destruction-rebirth. The world in the film is actually just the world in Shinji's heart. He wants to get all the love, but he is always confused by the ambiguity of others. Because of love and hatred, he wants to eliminate all the barriers and differences between people. This is a choice after not being cared for, using all deaths to open an era of no and peace. But it is hoped that he will accept the difference between himself and others and the estrangement between people. Compared with these, the most important thing is the value of personal existence. Follow your heart. Even if others don't understand, you must stick to your own things. You can't despair, but hope to accept this world of violence, machinations, religion, and pornography.
