The blurry shot at the beginning of the movie and the chaotic sounds that follow (gunshots, dogs barking, German soldiers screaming, Jews working...), are very amazing and take you quickly into this story. Narrated from the perspective of a little executioner, which in itself is very exciting. The cruelty of this war story is that the perpetrator is also the victim, and the torture and despair brought by the soul who yearn for redemption but cannot be redeemed throughout the whole process makes the viewers feel infinite. Depressed and breathless. But this is undoubtedly the most common misery that happens in war, so war is terrible and absurd. The ending of the movie is also handled very well. The restless eyes of the little boy, Sol's smile, and the sound of gunshots in the woods are very powerful. Great movie!
