I remember when Amazon's new drama was just released, the comments were all saying: Boring, isn't this Black Mirror? Makes me have no desire to watch. It turns out, however, that the lower the expectations, the greater the surprise. This soap opera, which focuses on uploading a virtual world of life, combines science fiction, suspense, love, and comedy. It really means "really fragrant".
The first season consists of 10 episodes. Except for the first episode, each episode is only over 20 minutes long. The story takes place in 2033. After death, people can upload their consciousness to the virtual world for immortality. Of course, this is the right of rich people, and ordinary people cannot afford huge amounts of traffic. Compared with people's understanding of the future in the past, the span of ten years is really much smaller, fully autonomous cars, VR sex with real touch, think about it, it really doesn't seem to be a distant thing. However, in my opinion, the overwhelming new products do give people the illusion of rapid technological development. There are many such funny scenes in the play: the AI is eloquent when talking to the protagonist, but when someone takes out a few animal photos and asks him to point out which ones are cats, he crashes on the spot. Take off the high-tech coat, this is the true face of technology, and it is also the true view of human beings on technology - wanting to rely on but unable to trust.
As a soap opera, although the subject matter is science fiction, the setting does not need to be so "hardcore". After all, if people can live forever after death, they will definitely be caught.
PS: Is it really hard to choose the heroine and the second heroine?
