Away from the hustle and bustle and return to the classics

The charming, idyllic British ranch, the retro and ups and downs of the Victorian era, far away from the hustle and bustle, far from the hustle and bustle...

The Victorian era, the reign of Queen Victoria. This period was the peak of the British Empire's Industrial Revolution, and it also brought Britain to the top of the world - the "Empire on which the Sun Never Sets". Spring and autumn alternate, cold and summer change, the village's clothing, food, housing, and daily life - raising livestock, cultivating crops, and staying away from the smoke and dust of industry.

The heroine Bashiba is independent, self-reliant, and beautiful, representing feminism. In the Victorian era, she inherited the farm left by her uncle, took charge of her own work, managed the subordinates, and managed the business prosperously. Her confidence and distinction have won the love of two of the best men in the world, but also a Don Juan-style bohemian sergeant Troy - handsome, provocative, eccentric and fickle. The heroine often behaves badly, is frivolous in every possible way, is obsessed with the feeling of being a crowd-pleaser, and politely declines the confession of her suitor. She rejects Gabriel's marriage proposal and declares her vow to be an independent woman; she once teased neighbor Baldwood on Valentine's Day, but quickly withdraws when he is deeply in love, making him step by step from serious and quiet to madness and death. It is often said that "the authorities are obsessed with the bystanders", such an independent woman will be blinded by sweet words, and when she encounters the playboy Troy, she will throw away all principles and rationality, and immediately fall into the debauchery and marry. Sometimes we still don't want a shrewd woman to be deceived, even though she has hurt so many wonderful men. Probably everyone is reluctant to have a bad guy succeed, even if only once. Troy combines with Bathsheba for money, and is eventually shot by Podwood. The heroine also finds her original intention, grows and understands.

Compared with the frivolity of the heroine, Gabriel, the male protagonist, is more pure and loyal. From a small farmer to a sheepherder to a large manor, he has been silently guarding and accompanying Bathsheba along the way. Matthias, as the first Belgian actor to be signed by a well-known Hollywood company, is indeed a combination of beauty and acting skills. Bright eyes, always shining with fiery light, exudes a strong and charming masculinity from the inside out.

The Victorian era, an era of transition, in which love and hate in the context of that era turbulent people's hearts. The characters in the film are a group of very good people who stand out from the times, go against and conform to the trend of the times. They are far away from the hustle and bustle, different from the times. People have to go through some hardships to settle down. The heroine finally knows what she wants. She matures and has the most solid support. From a female perspective, it is the first time that I feel that whether the male protagonist leaves or stays, is happy or still pursues it, it is a film with a very beautiful ending that I like very much.

The director's skill can be seen in a single movie. All the theme songs of the episodes are very good. The distant England, the past era, the nobility that can't be opened, the universal companionship of the pastoral songs - touching people's hearts, staying away hubbub...

PS: The scene where dozens of sheep were forced onto a cliff by their sheepdog and jumped one after another in the opening film was shocking. I like to intersperse the whole film of Bathsheba's comfortable riding through the forest alone. Classics are always magnificent and deeply moved.

The scenery of Dorset is really picturesque, and every outfit of Bathsheba is also beautiful. Why did I read the story of Mary Su's green tea bitch so well? Sure enough, I'm a bitch in my heart (?!) I really like the director's use of light and the angle of the camera. Matthias, you also ask me if I'm okay [crying

On the eve of the Christmas ball, two men and one man and two meet, "I think I know you like her", "Do you know the latest bow tie style", "Thank you for your kindness"... The hot question is: why are you still not together...
