I finally finished watching "Uploading the New Life" a few weeks ago, and I also wrote half of the drama review. I just had time today, and I made some selective revisions to what I wrote last time. Is this a comedy? It always feels like a sad life.
First of all, this is a very novel subject, about AI. The streets are flooded with self-driving cars, and there are no more enthusiastic salespeople in convenience stores, replaced by robots scanning codes to checkout. People choose to upload their consciousness before they die, and communicate with the living people through the cloud. The living people can see the uploaded life of their relatives after death, and the dead can also video chat with the living people. People who are "alive" in the cloud no longer suffer from diseases, but although they are "alive", they are dominated everywhere, and any needs of them, including food and ideas, must be paid/traffic. Store value and pay bills through living people. Painfully, they couldn't feel the sweat or smell the flowers.
Our male protagonist (Ao, I forgot his name), who writes the code, is working with a partner to build an uploading system suitable for poor people. He can roughly build a house or something like the "Dongsen" in the switch. But on his way home on Christmas Eve, the self-driving car had an accident. When his vital signs recovered, his family asked him, how to choose? At the suggestion of Sex's girlfriend, he uploaded it to "Lake View Cloud". All his consumption in Lake View, including buying new clothes, must be approved by his girlfriend. The girlfriend is a rich girl, not very attractive, SEX, some eldest lady temper. In the days of the cloud, the male protagonist felt that he was controlled by his girlfriend everywhere, and he did not have the freedom he had when he was alive.
In the VIP area of Lake View, each customer has a customer service representative, called angle. Our male protagonist also has an exclusive customer service representative. In the daily communication with angle, he gradually likes his angle, and has a relationship with angle. Said: He is only alive with his girlfriend because of the physical relationship, and now, he is "dead", unable to perceive, he is very distressed about his current life. He will find an opportunity to explain to his girlfriend that he has a further relationship with angle, but his girlfriend has the power over his life and death, and he must consider the next life for himself: switching to a 2G traffic area to save money.
But in my opinion, in order to save him, the rich girl modified the self-driving car mode: encountering passengers waiting (because the reality is that he was murdered); in order to find the male protagonist, she went to the poor area of London ; In order to save the male protagonist's storage hard drive, she clumsily and bravely jumped into the fountain pool to fish, everything was pure and lovely. At the end of the story, she also gave up her real life in order to be with the male protagonist and uploaded herself. The only thing she did wrong was that she had an affair with the male protagonist's partner after getting drunk once, and she had been feeling guilty ever since. As for the male protagonist, he always wanted to give up their lives and be with his angle. In Lakeview, he appears to be kind, and before he actually dies, he is betraying his partner and selling his code. for money!
The ending of the story is also very ironic. The male protagonist used the only 2G to hack the real-life monitoring system to save his angle, and then he became without traffic. After the rich girlfriend charged him 2G, only Said one sentence: I uploaded myself, and the traffic ran to 2G in an instant. A dark and ironic ending.
This is a bit like the debate I watched before: My partner has a 'soul mate' of the opposite sex, should I mind? . Because the male protagonist has only consciousness and no body, it just fits the topic, and the female protagonist happened to have a physical derailment once, but her consciousness has always been in love with the male protagonist. PS: I just took a note before, Xiao Xiao said: "I want to get an answer, that is, what you care about is whether his existence hurts me, or my mind disturbs him. "It just happens, I agree very much, the fit of the soul It is the premise that I think we are together. If there is no common topic, then the two will only gradually become estranged in the chai, rice, oil, salt, sauce, vinegar and tea. At this time, the appearance of a Soul mate is just a precursor to derailment, and there is no common ground. Soul, then it's only a matter of time before physical infidelity, this is the first time I've recorded my view of love, even at this age, haha.
Going back to the topic, I still like this eldest lady very much in the whole play. The details are that when she takes the male protagonist's little niece to spend the night with her, she will take care of the little niece, probably because she is in the environment of daily ridicule of the rich and powerful family. Growing up, she had the temperament of these eldest ladies, and when the little niece showed a little kindness to her, she also exuded infinite friendship to the little niece. The detail is that she made her hair the same as the little niece. Puffy head.
So. . . That's it, looking forward to the second season.
