The first part is like Notting Hill, but nothing compares. The ending is like "The Godfather 3", and it can't be compared. After all, Knightley has not yet reached the status of Roberts, and the massacre ended by The Godfather 3 is also the result of the accumulation of the 3 films.
The film seems to want to talk about the helplessness of life, the helplessness of having no choice, but it doesn't say much, at least not deeply. I don't know if it's British English or Australian English. The title is still good.
Neither Knightley nor Farrell are top-notch, especially Farrell, who is just an ordinary movie star. However, Knightley is still superb in acting. If you don't like her, watch this movie. How does Farrell look like Pete? What if this movie was played by Pitt? Of course, just looking at the "Tree of Life" that Pitt starred in this year, it seems unlikely that such a film will be accepted. As for the performance comparison between Pete and Pharrell? I shouldn't even mention this.
