Is apology the antidote to a marriage?

It's sad to watch this movie alone with headphones on. Music is great.
A man who realizes how much he loves his wife after a physical infidelity may, of course, feel guilty.
After a woman's spiritual derailment, she realizes that she really loves someone else, of course, it may be because of past love.
For a man, that ambiguous female colleague is as sultry as wine. When they accompany them in different places, he finally breaks through the bottom line of morality. In the morning, he leaves the stage with guilt and embarrassment. What he feels guilty is his wife, but not this one that made him stay overnight. Indulgent sad woman.
For a woman, although the former love has become misty and dusty, when she sees the old love again, she will inevitably become confused and fall in love, because she gave up at that time and gave birth to many feelings. The spiritual infidelity may have made her a lot more tolerant towards her husband.
Perhaps, apology is the antidote to a marriage? This subject matter makes me panic about marriage. I was looking forward to this movie a lot, and I wasn't too disappointed after watching it, but that's all.
Maybe Woody's interpretation would be better.
