Purely for Dali
Before watching this movie, I wanted to understand a wave of surrealism directed at Dalí. After watching it, I realized that I still felt a little bit like watching this movie in order to pretend to be compulsive. I just took a picture and it was full of black and white movies. The weird and absurd feeling of the period. But from this little movie, I really don't understand it.
But some parts can still be understood a little bit. Dalí was most afraid of ants since he was a child. In the movie, a man has a nest of ants drilled out of his hand, which reminds me of many of Dalí's paintings, such as the eternal memory (La persistencia de la memoria). With Retrospective bust of a Woman, what Dali did not suck was to draw a few strokes of the ants he was most afraid of in his childhood. Although he is afraid, he can turn the things he is afraid of into his own works of art. It is really interesting and clear. strange, but Dalí was such a strange person. The second part that makes me kind of see Dalí is when a man greedily caresses a woman's breasts as if he's making himself orgasm, the first thing that pops into my mind is Dalí's pre-marriage sexuality , Dalí painted a picture called The Great Masturbator (Le grand masturbateur), the painting also foreshadows Dalí's impotence and fear of contact with women, of course, before meeting his lover Gala. The shots of the men in this film are constantly switched, and sometimes these little brothers really look alike (smiles), which really deepens the difficulty of the film. I have to say that I can’t understand this kind of surrealism anyway. After all, surrealism is intertwined with reality and virtuality, and perhaps it can better describe the virtual form in people’s subconscious, so as to achieve a wonderful state that can transcend reality. But surrealism is really interesting sometimes, metaphorical sexual implication or metaphorical ugliness of human nature, they dare to express what we dare not express, and they dare to release themselves madly, but fortunately, I do not understand surrealism I can only interpret the meaning of what he wants to express from the Internet, but I don't know how good it is. So many crazy ideas, one brain can be swallowed by socialism.
