This "not very Indian" Indian film does not contain noisy singing and dancing, but it tells a complete story in a very delicate manner, a story about Asperger's syndrome.
The story begins when the protagonist Khan was young. The film depicts Khan’s difficulty in communicating and communicating with others. Symptoms include:
(1) Obvious obstacles to social interaction: It can be clearly seen from the film. Khan avoids sight communication with others, and it is difficult to develop proper peer relationships.
(2) Stereotyped and repetitive fixed behaviors: shown in the patterns of Khan's speech.
In addition, patients with Asperger’s Syndrome, when they understand words, they mostly understand the "literal meaning", so the conversation between Khan and the heroine is very interesting, and this part is also very good; and he Fear of noise, fear of yellow, etc., actors perform very well.
But the most fascinating part of this drama is that there are two important women in Khan's life, two women who can understand him and love him.
I really like the combination of Shahrukh Khan and Kajol. They have worked together several times, and each one is very beautiful, and the interaction is particularly impressive. In this part, the female lead shows tolerance and understanding of the male lead, which is very real and moving, especially the love period that makes people can't help but smile.
As for the political issues after 9/11, it is not the part that impressed me.
