film made of dreams

The standard Dali-style surreal, the subconscious is no longer imprisoned; 15 minutes is divided by irrationality like a dream, with no causal plot, inexplicable changing space and suddenly appearing objects. The ants in and out of the black hole in the middle of the palm (death, sexual anxiety and reproduction?); the carcass on the piano and the two monks being dragged, the broken arm in the center of the road, the mouth turned into an armpit. . . The union of anti-logic, the sexualization of limbs, the reorganization of organs are the symbolic tools of Dalí and Margarita.

Today, I found something that I longed for ten years ago, but it was difficult to reach. After all, I am still a little regretful.

This film has been studied too much, not to mention anything else, just the influence of this film on later generations shows the status of this film. The ant-covered ear of David Lynch's blue velvet and the bloody horse's head on the bed of Coppola's godfather should all come from this film. The mixture of Bunuel and Dali's dreams, since it is a dream that can be understood or not, so why not? At the beginning of the film, the scene of Bunuel sharpening a razor is unforgettable.
